Email privacy in a hotel

If you've ever been tempted to use the TV-based Web browser in a hotel room to read or send email, a pointer in yesterday's comp.risks might be worth considering. It seems one Adam Laurie has demonstrated how he can, among other things, view the list of people registered in the hotel he's staying in and then read (or, conceivably, modify) their email as they do.

That advice goes hand-in-hand with some I gave earlier about email privacy. Skimming comp.risks isn't a bad idea, either.
